I don’t know about you but the holidays are my time to focus on soul food, not health conscious food. Ham, pineapple casserole (basically pure sugar,) wine, liquor, eggnog, cookies, and the list goes on and on. Even though I don’t feel guilty for binging, my body is still not happy about it. So during days like this I always do what I can to detox. Typically this means :

  • Detox tea/water
  • Cardio !!!! I know it sucks but you’ll feel so much better, promise.
  • Long sauna sesh
  • Lots of veggies

It’s important to load your body up with vitamins and nutrients to refuel after what you may have missed a few days prior. Be sure to drink enough water (2-4 liters) to flush out all the toxins from the day before. You can also do that by sweating it out  in the sauna or with some cardio (HIIT, stairs, running, you name it.) Taking these extra steps will refresh your body and mind so you can turn your focus to enjoying your time and company during the holidays ❤️
